Sean “Diddy” Combs Is Planning On Commemorating His Fallen Friend, The Notorious B.I.G., In A Way Worthy Of His Namesake.

For The First Time In Years, Diddy, A Harlem Native, Will Cross The Bridge On March 9 – The 13th Anniversary Of Biggie’s Tragic Death – To Host A Party In The Bedford-Stuyvesant Neighborhood Of Brooklyn, The Place Where B.I.G. Grew Up.

According To The New York Post, The Party Will Take Place In Bed-Stuy’s The Lab Nightclub.

Announcing That The Dress Code For The Event Will Be “Biggie-inspired,” Combs Told MTV News, “We’re Trying To Make March 9th A National Hip-hop Holiday. It Already Is On The Low…. It’s A Big Day. It’s A Day To Celebrate His Life. It’s A Day To Celebrate The Life Of The Man. We Done Did The Movie, The Records. It’s Something That, I Guess As A Label We’re Obsessed With: Making Sure People Don’t Forget About This Man In A Positive Way. March 9 Is Biggie Day… Bump Biggie All Day, Feel Good And Positive.”

On March 9th, 1997, The Notorious B.I.G. – Née Christopher Wallace – Was Tragically Gunned Down In Los Angeles After Leaving A Soul Train Awards After Party.
